Michele MelaragnoMichele has been approved by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Supervising – Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.  She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Ohio Counseling Association.  She received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2006 and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.  Prior to founding Spirit of Peace Clinical Counseling, she was with WellSpring Counseling for over 6 years.  Michele was a Senior Manager with AT&T and Lucent Technologies for 25 years when she was blessed with an early retirement.

Michele oversees counseling and support groups at our Gahanna location.

DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K)©, is a special group to help your children heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce.  DC4K provides your children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings.

DivorceCare©, is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.  The DivorceCare support group is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help.

GriefShare©, is a bereavement support group for individuals who are healing from the loss of a loved one.  Group members are able to express their feelings and begin the healing process in a caring and supportive environment.

Personal

Michele has been married for over 31 years and has a son, daughter-in-law, and daughter.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Michele is a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Church where she is a Eucharistic Minister to the sick and elderly.  She initiated a Marriage Mentor ministry to help prepare pre-marital couples for the Sacrament of Marriage.  Michele ran 2 Marathons:  Columbus and The Marine Corp.  She is passionate about playing golf and baking pies.  Michele loves U.S. and world travel.
